armies, technology, manage diplomacy, and even influence your country's political standings. What's great about it 
is that you can do pretty much everything..

germany's alliance offers as britain, or whatever the hell.

scenarios with more stuff

production some

type.
[midopa] 1:19 am: Hm... how do those play out? The Platinean War... Lots of guerilla warfare, no? I'm guessing off 
the geography o-'th' area

[Mightfox] 1:20 am: Like with any game, it's difficult to properly make everything realistic. Normally, when you 
launch your attacks the battles last a few game hours, so you could say those are the decisive battles
[Mightfox] 1:21 am: BUt there's a mod or two that makes battles last longer, to represent the skirmishes and the 
like moreso.
[Mightfox] 1:21 am: A neat thing is that one of the tech trees is for doctrines
[Mightfox] 1:22 am: While most countries are already down one path, things like nationalist china and argentina are 
free to choose doctrines. Or if you really want, you can easily mod out germany to have doctrinial freedom
[Mightfox] 1:22 am: There's 2 path focuses: Firepower and mobility. Mobility=German fit blitzkrieg path with 
kampfgruppes, etc.
[Mightfox] 1:22 am: or, the soviet union fit Human wave path.
[Mightfox] 1:23 am: Firepower splits off into two, one of them is one fit for the US i can't remember the name of, 
focuses on superior firepower and combined arms or mechanized offensives, depending on which you choose

[Mightfox] 1:23 am: The japanese fit one, infiltration doctrine
[Mightfox] 1:23 am: Which lets you fight much better at night
[Mightfox] 1:24 am: The french one, attritional containment

[Mightfox] 1:24 am: THe british one actually has the worst morale and organization bonuses

your battles.

[Mightfox] 1:25 am: But once you own a few battlescenarios, get some production/tech skills in the spanish civil 
war(platinean war can last 7 game years, too long)

36(road to war), sometime in 39(blitzkrieg), before barbarossa in 41(awaken the giant), and sometime after d-day in 
44(gotterdammerung)
[Mightfox] 1:27 am: Usually it's good to start off with a lesser, land based country so you can get the hang of 
strategic land warfare better.

and you don't have the time to make a long, detailed maneuver to envelop them and advance

[Mightfox] 1:29 am: You have to invest well in air power to make it effective though, but it's worth it.
