Here's an idea! When an Earth God dies, he stays on the planet but has a halo above his head, showing he is dead. He can not harm, but he can talk to people, show encouragement, etc.

The words had come from the mouth of Showoffboy. he was crouched on the ground, desperately trying to hold himself in place. H hog tried to approach but Showoffboy took a swing at him! "STAY BACK FOOL!" then another gentler voice "run... please" None of them moved as the figure screamed in anguish.
H Hog was crying "We can't just leave him... can we?"
Everyone was silent. More screams from Showoffboy.
Scott was trying to revive JoshKnux: "JOSHU! SPEAK TO ME!" but it was too late, he was long dead
The screams became words "RUUUUUUUUUN! RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!"
Andrusi turned to them "Guys let's get o-" a mestal fist knocked him to the ground.
Kulock called for everyone "Back to Flying Moogle Everyone!"

OOS: Matrixx: They aren't REAL gods... they simply have lots of power. They are just as mortal as anyone. They can, however die when they use all their power and are reverted to statue form...

(So... I'm an official "Hero". Cool. ^_^ Being the "God of forgotten Sega consoles" doesn't help, does it?  Well, that would mean my powers are everything all the old Sega characters have. I will demonstrate in this post.)
Everyone ran back to the Flying Moogle.
Showoffboy, however, started glowing bright white, and shot tiny beams in ALL POSSIBLE directions, stunning the MCers.
Using this mighty blast of power, Showoffboy sank to the floor.
He was panting.
H Hog got hit in his left foot, disabling him to walk. Risking being an easy target, he flew towards a dazed Showoffboy, and called upon the Radaxian power of Alex Kidd. His fist grew twice it's size, and **PUNCH!**
Showoffboy flew backwards.
"Sorry, Showoffboy. I just had to do this." H Hog whispered. His Alex Kidd power faded again.
Showoffboy was out cold for a second or two, but after that, he instantly stood up, and started collecting his power.
"YOU FOOL!" said one voice. Another said "RUN AWAY! NOW!" Another said "OR BOW DOWN TO SONY!"
By now, everyone had woke up, and attended battle poses....

WHAM!!: Artemus hits Showoffboy away!
SMACK!: Artemus hits showoffboy again!
KAMEHAMEHA!:Matrixx's Kamehameha
MAKANGOSAPPO!!!: Artemus's Makangosappo
both shot at Showoffboy!

Kulock couldn't watch at what was happening. If the beams would hit Showoffboy, and he'd die, it would be a disgrace to the Moogle Cavern. "One life lost is one more step to dishonor" Kulock thought to himself. Without thinking twice, he stepped inbetween the beams, callep up all his power, and deflected the beams away from Showoffboy.
Showoffboy said three things at once...
"Fool."
"Thank you."
"Pathetic."
All the MCers looked amazed at Kulock, with his slightly scorched fur.
Artemus looked puzzled for a second, then went serious. "People, he's right. We can't kill him. There must be another way!"
Tetera Deus Laeos saw the entire thing, and could not see more. If Showoffboy would die, it would be the end. If Showoffboy survived, it would be massacre.
He did the impossible, and created a small doppelganger of himself, and sent it to Earth.
"This way, I might be able to help from here...IF I can find that stunning spell in time..."
TDL had made a small version of himself, not able to do physical damage, but it WAS, however, able to cast spells.
Armed with two scrolls labeled "Paralysis" and "Final Decision", Minimus Deus Laeos was sent to earth.

"You Sega fans shall all perish, and Sony will take over the consoles!"
"WRONG!!! I am not a Sega fan; however, I am not a Sony fan, nor am I a Nintendo fan. I am a non-conformist, and in doing so I can drop one console just as easily as I can pick it up. And so that is where your Sony Star's power ends against me. As for your Sony Showoff's power, he has not experienced what power I can really use. And Showoffboy, I am sorry for what I am about to do to you, but the instability of your new body is a threat to both you and everything else in the universe, so it would be better if I just got rid of your current body and we found the pieces to the statue, so that you may be whole again."
Showoffboy looked both enraged, horrified, and saddened. "FOOL! Nobody can beat me, I believed I proved that on the Sony Star!-I...I understand, Artemus.-I'll prove that theory wrong, Artemus, as I crush you and the rest of the Sega fans."
"I TOLD YOU, I AM NOT A SEGA FAAN!!!!" Artemus shouted as he rushed towards Showoffboy and smashed him in the jaw. As Showoffboy was trying to get back up, surprised at the blood he wiped from his lip, Artemus was slowly walking towards him (DBZ style) with tremendous amounts of energy radiating off him.
"Now that I have your attention, listen to me, Showoffboy. I was originally evil, just like your Sony Showoff counterpart. Also, if I remember the saying correctly, "Evil begets evil", so I plan to find some way to bring that out. I remember becoming corrupted by gaining supreme amounts of power, so if I power up enough, you shall meet your end." He gives a little smirk. "See if you can kill me until that happens, Showoffboy."

"NO, ARTEMUS! DON'T DO IT!"
In a flash, the clouds went green. (Mmmm... Green... ^_^)
They started forming letters again. Roareye knew what was happening.
"STOP" stood in the clouds.
The letters changed. "MDL ARRIVES SOON" they said.
"This isn't making any sense..." H Hog said.
"You dimwit, that's a message from Tetera Deus Laeos!"
"Teta-who?"
Roareye sighed. "Leo, H. It's Leo. He's telling us not to kill him.
Artemus looked annoyed. "NO! We HAVE to do this! The fate of the world is at stake every second he lives!"
Matrixx noticed something strange in Artemus' words. He knows him well, and never did he hear anything similar from his mouth...

Miles away at The Moogle Cavern...
Jamie Swiftrunner was watching her computer terminal. Waiting for the picture to return. she hit it. "DAMN IT!" She picked up the mike "This is Jamina Swiftrunner to The Flying Moogle 3. Do you copy?"
Silence.
"DAMN IT! I'M TIRED OF WAITING! WE HAVE TO GET MOVING" She gathered the remaining MCers together. "Alright people, we're going-"
But before she could finish the sentence. Several robotic looking figures with heads in the shape of Sonic busted in.
"What the?!"
"We are SOB2600 units." they answered in unison. One stepped forward "I am leader SOB2611. We are here to arrest you."
"ARREST US?!? WHY?"
"You are in direct violation of Sony's control of the city of Elgom"
"SONY? But... they were destroyed"
"You're destruction of Sony Star was a capitol offense. You killed thousands of people onboard and millions more on Sony's continent. You are hereby scentenced to death by the order of Emperor Accesso of Sony."
"We'll ne-" but the robots surrounded them and dragged them off to the to the center of Elgom.
They were pushed up onto a platform and nooses were slid around each one's neck. "THESE GENOCIDAL CRIMINALS" announced SOB2611 "WILL BE PUNISHED!"
He pulled the lever and released the trap door.

The Fight
"HYAAA!" Showoffboy got back up and lunged at Artemus. Artemus stepped aside and kneed him in the gut.
"You'll have to do better than that, Showoffboy."
Cringing, Showoffboy got back up and fired a barrage of beams at Artemus, each of which seemed to pass right through him.
"Come on, Showoffboy, that can't be all you can do."
"You're right, Artemus." He said. Suddenly, Artemus found Showoffboy right behind him as he was hit with a powerful kick and flung to the side. Artemus stopped dead in midair, looking quite perplexed. Then his expression changed to a look of amusement.
"Heh, I knew you were better than that." They engaged in a series of hits and blocks. Showoffboy seemed to be gaining the upper hand, however. After a while he saw an opening and took action. Artemus was slammed in the face, sending him flying backwards into a rock. As he got back up, he seemed to be enjoying the battle.
"Hahahahaha! I knew you wouldn't disappoint me, Showoffboy. Now I know what I need to defeat you. Watch in awe as my first step to ultimate power is taken!" His fur and hair were beginning to glow, and seven images of Chaos Emeralds began to rotate around him.

Matrixx looked in amazement. Artemus was acting VERY strangely, until he noticed something. Artemus' eyes weren't blue anymore. They had turned red.
"GOD, NO! This is not Artemus!" Matrixx yelled.
Hearing this, Artemus turned to Matrixx. His eyes were cold.
"You're right, I'm not! I am merely a messenger from a higher power! And when I kill Showoffboy, you will stand powerless!"
H Hog frowned. "HOW the hell is that possible?"
Evil Artemus smiled. "Because my master directly linked all your lives together! So if one of you dies, YOU ALL DIE! WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!
"And who might this "master" be?" asked Roareye.
"You'll find out soon enough. But you'll NEVER hear it out of my mouth!"
At that time, the REAL Artemus showed up!

They cut the ropes. the bodies fell to the ground. The bodies were set on fire. cheers rose from the crowd. what started as "DEATH TO GENOCIDE!" and "JUSTICE!" became "SONY FOREVER!" and "DEATH TO SEGA!"
Tetera turned to Dreadknux "You are a cold bastard"
"When I have to be" he replied "I do not understand you, Tetera, They killed millions of beings and you still love them but I kill 100 and I am a target of hate? You are the cold one."
"Nearly all of those killed in the explosion were robots."
"Sentient in my eyes. They are all Pequaras."
"You will never understand."
"I don't want to. Everything I have done I have done for myself. I must protect my Peqaras and you must protect yours. Whether they were robots or not, I lost over 6 millions souls in that explosion. That weakened me. I had no choice but to do what I did."
"That clone was dirty."
"Artemeus had always been mine, he just strayed to your side. I had every right to split his soul in two."
"And the link?"
"It had always existed. But the recent events removed Showoffboy from your web. Only one man, but still a Terridas. enough to force the others to leech their energy from Showoffboy while giving none in return. the bond it created made them alldependant on one life."
"bastard."
"call me what you like but I have no hate for you. I am merely looking out for my own interests."
"that makes you even worse."
Tetera got up and left

Artemus looked at his evil counterpart. He then sighed.
"Good God, not another clone."
"Heheheheh....I am not merely another clone. I am an exact replica of you. Everything you know, I know. Everything you can do, I can do. I have all your abilities, all your powers, and I know of your transformations. If you didn't exist I would be you, and I intend for that to happen."
He grinned evilly as he completed his transformation into Super Artemus. His hair split from three large parts in the front to five. His hair and fur were a lighter tint. The symbol on his chest now had a Chaos Emerald implanted in it. His eyes turned a completely red hue with darker red pupils.
"I won't take this lightly. There is but one me, and any clones defecting from their original WILL BE DESTROYED." Artemus himself transformed into Super Artemus. All the features were exactly the same, except for his eyes being a blue tint instead of red.
"Now then, let's see if you are what you say you are."
They engaged in battle.

Artemus vs. Artemus
The fight went exactly like the one fought on the Sony Star when the other clone of Artemus was battling with him. Every attack launched from one was blocked by the other. Finally, Evil Artemus got fed up with the non-progressing battle, jumped back, and fired a beam. Artemus immediately countered it with another beam. The two polarities canceled each other out.
"It seems we are at a stalemate, Artemus." said Evil Artemus.
"That it does. However, there is still one thing you haven't seen." said the original Artemus.
"Is that so? What would that be?"
"I'LL SHOW YOU!!!" he screams as his hand shot towards Evil Artemus's throat.
Evil Artemus grabbed his arm.
"Oh no you don't. I've already seen that trick before, from your brain data. In fact, I have picked that up for myself, in case I found it useful." He then grabbed Artemus's throat!
"WHAAAT!?"
"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!"

Matrixx was Hyper, with his hands in front of him, glowing.

Evil Artemus's other arm was broken.
BAAAAM-SHHHEEEEOOOOOOOWWW
Evil Artmus lay on the ground, unmoving, but still alive.
"I'l let you finish this one, artemus!"

Just as they were about to finish off the Evil clone, there was a flash of blue light. A girl with brown hair, long legs, and fangs appeared right in front of the beaten body.
"stop!" she yelled, throwing her arms to the sides, as if defending the clone.
"Who the hell are you???" somebody asked.
"My name is Raurenu...and I demand you stop this fighting NOW!"
"Why?"
Raurenu bit her bottom lip. "Why? because..."
(sorry guys...had to get in this story somehow...feel free to kill me off. lol)

"Nonsense! He is nothing more than a clone and must be returned to his original!"
"You can't! I won't let you! Kill me if you must!"
Artemus had an icy glare in his eyes as he brought up his hand.
Nothing happened.
He was ready to blast Raurenu into nothing in an instant, so what was holding him back? Why didn't he just kill her? A war was going on in Artemus's mind, with his conscience fighting against his instinct. After a while, Artemus finally said:
"...J...Just go!! Take him and leave! But if he so much as shows his face in my presence again, nothing will be able to save him, not even you!!"
Raurenu looked puzzled for a minute, then her expression changed to one of understanding.
"Th-Thank you, Artemus." She took him and left.
"That's just perfect. Now we have two threats: Showoffboy and my evil clone."
"Hey, where is Showoffboy anyway?" Matrixx said, looking around.
"What are you talking abo-OH, DEAR LORD!! He's gone!! Who knows what kinds of havoc he could cause!"
Artemus immediately rushed off to find him.
