Well...
Personally, I like it. I think it'd work great as a temp forum for when the main one at mooglemb.com is down. It certainly beast EzBread.

However... Kulock usually has some sort of status quo, and his negative response is just around the corner ;p

Such is the curse of personal hosting.
His dependability would go up a bit if he used a server-class operating system like Linux, FreeBSD, or W2K Professional Server. (There, I think I covered all neutral ground ;p)
But then there's the eternal curse of the dynamic IP.
Other then that, it would actually probably work. I say at best amateur services on anything under server-quality ISP (SDSL and up), that includes Cable and DSL but not phone modems, you can get, at best, 95% uptime with a good dynamic IP service and a stable system. (That last 5% includes the moments between IP switches, general server glips, and occasional internet hardware malfunction, like my DSL modem needs reset once in a while)

Kulock, your being a little harsh. It actually was intended to be a proposal. I was talking to DE about it over AIM before. That YaBB was a mock up and this post was meant to be the asking of your permission. It's just that DE's a little too optimistic with his wording, and, like I tried to tell him :/ often get's misunderstood. I litterally warned him to be careful how he worded things. But ah, well. Just take a easy on him, remember, he's only trying to help.

People are rejecting your attempt at this board hosting thing, not "Digibase" itself; you may want to call it your "webserver", however, instead of "Digibase" only because I think that confuses the meaning.
And personally, I can think of great use of your system as a file host; you got better bandwidth for that sort of thing ;p

Yeah DE. Personally, if I were in your shoes, I'd turned Digibase into a big...thing that hosted everyone's websites and a big main page about free speech/digital freedom the prvided everything from wity editorials written by your visitors, a massive collection on misc. Romz and Warez and mp3s.
Now, mind you, that's just me, but it's just one of the ways Digibase could be used that people whould generally accept. (except for maybe a lamer or two, which you could ignore) I mean, come on, who dosen't like playing video games and using 200 dollar software for free? =D

Well free image hosting is tight for a lot of people. Maybe you could offer a 2 image host, a side image and sig image, and more with permission? Or just an image host, a lot of poeple have a dieing geocities or angelfire account.
Just an idea. I think a lot of people would like that as long as you did it right.

But, DE, as for your server for the MC, don't try a web project that big. Especially without Ku's permission.
