Dear Google Friends,
We have much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving, beginning with
friends like you who have spread the word about Google and put us (for
the first time) in the Media Metrix top 50 domains. As our way of
saying thanks, we'd like to let you in on our latest news starting
with the cool new Google Toolbar we've just developed.
Beef up your browser with the Google Toolbar.
The beta version of the Google Toolbar just became available today, and
we want you to be among the first to try it. This toolbar quickly plugs
into your browser and helps you find information from anywhere,
anytime. And, it's totally free.
The Google Toolbar enables you to:
- Search the web using Google from any web page
- Search only within the site you're visiting
- Highlight and find your search terms wherever they appear on the page
- Move up a level in a site to the page above the one you're on
- Have instant access to the Google Web Directory
- Display the PageRank of the page currently in your browser
- Find web pages similar to the current page
Learn more about this easy-to-use essential browser tool and send us
your thoughts on how it can be improved.

Instant advertising for any budget - AdWords.
Google's new self-service ad campaign system, AdWords, is delivering
clickthrough rates well above the industry standard. With instant
credit card signup and real-time campaign status reports, AdWords is
the efficient, affordable way to reach your targeted audience.
A recent AdWords customer told us:
"I just want to say how amazing the AdWords system is. I think it is
simply the best way on earth to test and refine marketing messages on
live audiences. You've brought real power to startups like
Thinmail.com!"
-- Jordan Pollack, President, Thinmail.com.
There's no cost or obligation to preview AdWords. If you like what you
see, open an account and start running your ads today.

Google and MyPalm join to bring wireless web content
to handheld users.
You can find Google at home, at work and on your phone. And now a new
kind of Google search is at hand. Google and Palm have partnered to
deliver Google's fast, highly relevant search technology to MyPalm
users with wireless Palm handhelds. To quote Sergey Brin, "The
combination of Google and the MyPalm portal provides quick access to
the world's knowledge from your shirt pocket." Assuming, of course, that
you can dig it out from behind all those pens in your pocket protector.

Google comes out on top once again.
The votes have been tallied and the verdict is in. Google wins PC
Magazine's editors choice award for best search engine on the web. In
addition, Google takes home the gold at the 9th annual PC Magazine (UK)
Technical Innovation Awards. Google was chosen over Macmillan Software,
Gnutella and X-drive as the "Best Internet Innovation" by some of the
web's most intelligent users. And if that wasn't enough, Computerworld
magazine recognized Google as one of the Top 100 Emerging Companies to
Watch in 2001.
