Manager, Public Relations
This position is available in Mountain View, CA.
We have an immediate need for an experienced PR professional to manage
a variety of corporate communications issues, especially in the area
of finance. The ideal candidate has significant experience managing media
relations for quarterly earnings, financial filings and analyst events as
well as broader corporate experience covering legal and policy issues
and general issues management.
Responsibilities:
- Help prepare for and execute media communications for each quarter's
financial earnings announcement.
- Manage media relations for all finance-related issues, including
SEC filings and public financial presentations.
- Help manage media relations related to legal, policy and other corporate
issues.
- Help shape and define strategic planning for communicating all aspects
of Google to business press and industry analysts worldwide.
- Represent Google as a company spokesperson and front-line point
of contact for the media.
- Work closely with communications and investor relations colleagues
and company executives worldwide to handle a variety of communications
situations.
- Develop written materials, including press releases, financial earnings
scripts, Q&As, executive presentations and speeches, etc.
- Team with investor relations department to produce financial events
(earnings calls, annual shareholder meeting, Analyst Day); oversee
various aspects of event production (webcast, conference calls, etc.).
Experience:
- BA/BSA in journalism, communications or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6-8 years in corporate communications field, a combination
of agency and in-house experience.
- Prior experience managing PR related to finance issues, including
quarterly earnings.
- Prior high-tech experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of public relations standards and practices.
- Established relationships with global business/trade reporters and
editors.
- Excellent, proven verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to participate on interdepartmental
teams and coach executives.

Senior Manager, Public Relations
This position is available in Mountain View, CA.
The mission of Google's corporate communications team is "to amplify
the Google difference worldwide." A key part of this effort is sharing
our company vision to journalists, analysts, and influencers around the
globe. We have an immediate need for an experienced PR professional to
assist with the company's communications efforts. The ideal candidate
has a proven record managing effective PR programs in both the U.S. and
major countries in Europe and Asia and a precise understanding of how
to leverage strategic media relations to enhance a company's leadership
position.
Responsibilities:
- Help shape and define strategic planning for communicating all aspects
of Google's business to business press and analysts worldwide.
- Represent Google as a company spokesperson and front-line point
of contact for the media.
- Help develop the company's point of view on a variety of issues.
- Monitor external perceptions of Google and recommend strategic opportunities
to enhance company's position or identity.
- Work closely with communications colleagues around the world and

PR Specialist - Amsterdam
This position is available in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Help us tell the story of our award-winning search engine in the Benelux
region. Google has an immediate need for an experienced PR professional to
develop and implement our international PR programs in the Benelux region. The
Benelux PR Specialist will be the Amsterdam-based PR representative for Google,
working as part of Google's International PR team to bring Google closer to the
Benelux media.
The ideal candidate has a proven record of implementing effective PR programs
in the Benelux region; a precise understanding of how to work with a variety of
media in Dutch, French and English; and strong relationships with Benelux
business, technology and consumer media. They must be able to work
autonomously, in a remote office and under the constraints of differing time
zones.
Responsibilities will include:
- Works with International PR Manager to develop and implement effective
and creative PR programs in the Benelux region to meet business objectives.
- Responds to all incoming emails, voicemails and calls from Benelux
press and analysts.
- Develops written materials, such as press releases, Q&As,
backgrounders, pitch letters and reports.
- Builds and maintains Google's Benelux press office; managing and
updating all content on Google's Benelux Press Center, preparing press
releases, articles, quotes, online press kit, managing press release
distribution and maintaining media database.
- Assists with planning and manages media tours and press events.
- Schedules onsite, offsite and phone media interviews.
- Provides support for all PR events, conferences, tradeshows.
- Helps to manage external public relations resources.
Requirements:
- University Degree and both Dutch and English language fluency required
(French preferred).
- A minimum of 4-5 years public relations experience. Both agency and in-house experience are preferred.
- Excellent contacts and relationships with Benelux business, technology
and consumer media.

Public Relations Specialist
This position is available in Mountain View, CA.
Google is looking for an experienced and energetic new addition to our
growing in-house team of corporate communications professionals. This
person will drive publicity programs related to Google's award-winning
search technologies. Specific areas of responsibility will range from
announcing new Google search features and enhancements, to developing
innovative communications programs to extend Google's reach in the
enterprise search market (via the Google Search Appliance), to
launching feature upgrades to newer members of the Google product
family, including Picasa and Keyhole. This position will interface
closely with product and product marketing managers, engineers,
research scientists and company executives.
Responsibilities:
- Define innovative PR strategies for new product/service
introductions, press conferences, and technology-focused industry
events.
- Develop written materials, including press releases, Q&As,
presentations and speeches, messaging and positioning guidelines,
competitive overviews, etc.
- Represent Google as a company spokesperson for a
variety of media,
analyst, and influencer inquiries - including crisis/corporate issues.
- Maintain global media and analyst database and speaking/event
calendar.
- Train and advise a wide variety of new and experienced company
spokespersons, to support media interviews and public presentations.
