Head of Technical Account Management (TAM)

Position available in Mountain View, CA.

Google Partner Services and Operations group is seeking an experienced and accomplished business-oriented technology-focused leader to play an integral role in directing and executing our business goals and objectives for profitable, sustainable growth of Google Strategic Partner Network.

The right candidate should be an impact player, with a proven track record of accomplishments, understands the business implications of technical decisions and display an orientation toward best practices, service delivery, engagement models and business relationship management. Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide frontline executive and functional leadership to a highly technical TAM team in Post-Sales efforts for all strategic Partner and Customer Engagements.
  • Plans, directs and establish best practices and processes for the world-wide TAM groups to achieve high quality solution development and delivery.
  • Manages and ensures the successful implementation of aggressive productivity improvement initiatives as they relate to the business plan/strategy.
  • Provides leadership, develops and maintains an effective TAM groups through effective selection/talent acquisition, performance management, training/development, coaching/mentoring and motivation of management in alignment with the group goals and objectives.
  • Directs preparation and reviews TAM group cost estimates, staffing (manpower) levels forecasts. Reports, studies and analyzes group performance/action on operating elements such as partner technical implementation costs, service infrastructure setup costs, etc.
  • Maintains an up-to-date awareness and advises senior management on a timely basis of any partner technical escalations, opportunities for improvement or synergies as they relate to Partner Network within the competitive industry.
  • Develops and recommends group operating objectives with sales, engineering and product management inputs.
  • Integrates TAM group well with the rest of the organization and develops career advancement path for individuals.
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in technical discipline. MS CS or MBA degree highly desirable. (PhD, a plus)
  • 10+ years of related management experience preferably in the area of Technical Consulting/Professional services, Project/Program Management, and Product Management in the high tech industry, including a minimum 5 years high level leadership in sales-oriented technical organization.
  • Past experience in building, running, and scaling up a technical focused group in a sales organization with top talents and minimum turn-over rate.
  • Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills.
  • Strong business acumen and leadership skills with demonstrated accomplishments.
  • High integrity individual with a passion for staff career development, and technical solution delivery excellence.
  • Excellent resource allocation skills and strong ability to manage, influence, lead and develop people.

Manager, Technical Solutions Group

Position available in Mountain View, CA.

Google Partner Services and Operations group is looking for a highly technical service-oriented manager for the Technical Solutions Group. You must be able to command the intellectual respect of the engineers in the group while providing a solution-focused interface to the rest of the company. This role involves hands-on development and deployment and product engineering support. Additionally, you will be responsible for all aspects of the partner network technical success on a 24x7 basis. Sales Engineer

This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

We are looking for a Sales Engineer with excellent communication skills to handle pre-sales accounts for Search Services. You will work directly with Sales to prepare demos, answer questions, and launch customers. Your role will allow you to engage directly with customers on both technical and non-technical levels to ensure superior service as well as interact directly with key engineering support personnel to resolve issues. You should be a confident presenter with excellent verbal skills and be able to prepare and present material to customers on features and products. In addition, you need to feel at home working closely with both our engineering and sales teams.

Technology Program Manager

You will be responsible for managing programs involving cross-functional teams focusing on launching new products and services. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and drive initial partner deployments.

Your thorough understanding of the software development process (development, configuration, testing, and deployment) is crucial in identifying and mitigating risks early in the product lifecycle and ensuring successful pilot product launches. You will also make sure that the proper training and documentation is in place for a wide-scale deployment of the new product and service. You will develop and deliver training to the PSO group and other functional groups.
