RTFM, Read The FAQin' Manual!

Information for the having:

You thought you knew The Matrix. You thought you knew... whatever the heck it is the Moogle Cavern covered. But do you know... The Moogle Matrix? Let's start out simple...

Bad puns make him grumpy.

The Matrixx is a highly-organized structure of replicant systems (one might say "clones"), designed to drain off large amounts of energy from the poor people trapped within, all for the sake of keeping the static cling that keeps his quills together going. The Matrixx is difficult to locate, it often conceals its location with purple magenta fog.

Screw grumpy, he's going to flat-out kill me.

What was the dialogue during the car scene?

This was hard to hear on the DVDs, but we think we've worked out out, it's roughly:

Swatch: "Oy, you, with the nice boobs, get in the car."
Leo: "This is such an old jok-"
Cyphon: "But it couldn't be resisted, have you seen the original picture?"
Swatch: "Now give us a feel."

Oh, you KNOW he did this at some point...

How many keys were on Tank's keyboard?

No.

Animatrix, eat your heart out...

Is it true they're making a spinoff sequel where-

Yes. The part of Kirby will be played by Orlando Bloom.

For the last time, NO, I do not know where to buy exact copies of the sunglasses or sneakers!

The SOAP versions are too different for some people's tastes. And others just have nothing better to do but complain about them. (OooOooh, Missus.)

At least it might've lead to some good Waffle-X inspiration...

Interesting choice for them to use speech bubbles during more than one part of the movie, isn't it?

Yes, indeed, I've posted three sequential screen captures here to demonstrate, from the scene where Luckett meets the Agents. They still had voicework done for the scenes, though...

If you're looking for cohesiveness, you're not going to find it. I'm WAY too tired to make sense, even comically.

Did you just post this question because you wanted to show off your Matrix code Eggman?

...Yes, and because I wanted to say "Matrix Emerald," because it sounds like something out of a fangame.

"Alright, what's REALLY going on?"

Basically, this is a very, very late April Fools joke that's been in the planning for nearly a year. The trouble is, things got busy, and some preparations weren't made (securing the artwork for filler, organizing with more Matrix fans to get a better cross-culture going, registering the domain, et cetera, yes, there was going to be a MoogleMatrix.com, which, ironically, was one of the original suggested domain names for my (Kulock's) site when I polled several years back, before the Matrix had even shown in theaters). Still, though, with some last minute help, I could get it done, right? Well... I'm too optimistic at times for how much work energy I have. My site's users are used to my Nintendo approach to website updates, "Set for tommorow, oops, set for next day after, er... next week, ah, who knows if it'll ever come out..." Unfortunately, some of the Matrix fans here might not be used to it, so yeah, it's a little weird finally updating on April 3rd with an April 1st joke, but... well... uhmn... Spoon Boy was weird too, so hah!

My sister (the "Jen" in "Jen's Matrix") offered to help, but understandably was mostly bogged down with RL concerns. And my contributions were more... eclectic, than usual. So this time around a lot of credit has to be given to the people who helped out, they really put the meat into this gag:

Direct Contributors:
  • Blaze Hedgehog:
Drew the kick-arse logo pic of Jen and myself. Yes, the little white furry thing is my avatar. But don't laugh, because now I've got a shotgun too. ;D He also prodded me along to go ahead and finish this, and I would've felt guilty wasting his great pic otherwise. I also knicked a shot of TFH's "Run Like Hell" sequence for the Tank shot.
  • Persona-sama:
He had the least amount of time of all, and he still pushed out that fantastic Morpheus/Sonic pic. Also listened to me natter on about it on AIM, so that's worth a lot. ;P
  • Luckett:
Three kick-arse sprites of himself on demand, not to mention voicing his own lines in that MP3 above. (Yes, I did Chap. Yes, quite badly.)
  • Jamie Swiftrunner:
Did up a voiced line for herself, and didn't even get an edited sprite or two out of it like planned. Her microphone was stuffing up, too, but she still did it.
  • Chris_A:
More prodding, and he graced us with Taskbaa's WAV, which I had lost.

Indirect Contributors:
  • ilascott:
Provided a shot of A2: Amy Adventure for the Tank shot. Only he doesn't know it yet. ;D It's difficult to see, anyway.
  • Pseudo da Hedgehog:
Eggman with the Matrix Emerald is adapted from a sheet he made. Sprite sheet makers like Pseudo and Dan Sidney make doing sprited comics and images incredibly easier, so you've got to give them credit when you can.
  • The Matrix Fan Site:
Many of my screenshot backgrounds or elements were taken from here. A few scattered elements I got from elsewhere (for instance, my code BG was adapted from a screenshot of one of the Matrix code screensavers available), but really, nearly everything from the Matrix that made it into the final project was taken from here.

People who wanted to help out, but couldn't, for various reasons, but still deserve praise anyway for offering and trying:
  • Neokku:
You gave it a shot, even if you had artist's block, I still appreciate it.
  • Perfect Chaos Zero:
    Smack your friends for me.
  • Jen:
Hey, she had schoolwork. ;P This wasn't something two people could easily write together, anyway.
  • Jackel:
He wanted to help, although he didn't even know what it was for at the time, and honestly, I just didn't think it was a good idea. ^_^; But you should still give him a nod for speaking up with an offer.

Thank you all for putting up with the delay, hopefully you still found some humor out of it all. Both sites will return to normal function within 2-3 days. At any rate, for your enjoyment I've included both Persona's and Blaze's works as downloadable wallpapers in JPG and Zipped BMP format (I highly recommend the Zipped BMPs, I don't like the color muddling on the JPGs). They really do kick arse, you can grab them below:
