No, seriously, I was talking to Luckett early, early this morning (I didn't get my TSSZ speech done until late, but I think it's worth it, so go listen to it tomorrow and actually hear the admin! *gasp* ;P), and he pointed out that the Bandwidth error was up. I had glanced at the board not ten minutes beforehand, so I was shocked. I logged in to my control panel (which, unlike Liquidweb, can be accessed on a seperate server when stuff like this happens), and my stats show us with significant, significant bandwidth eating in November, and now in December. Something just doesn't seem quite right, there hasn't been a significant (yes, a minor, but not significant) increase in activity, yet even after I purchased SLACK bandwidth in preparation for growth and adding the "Hoaxes" section, suddenly we've supposedly smacking into the 16 Gig (yes, I said SIXTEEN Gig) Bandwidth wall?

I don't blame the host for any subterfuge, I don't think they're "conspiring to rip me off" at all, but it's possible there's a glitch with how the bandwidth was tracked, or possibly a certain someone who lurks here is trying to be "clever", I haven't sifted through the logs yet. I contacted them nearly the moment I saw it, and they've already responded and are checking into it.

Not quite sure what I'll do if it turns out to truly be our fault. For how niche our forum and Oekaki was, I though 600 Meg of space and 16 Gig of bandwidth was pretty cooshy. If I drop even more cash for another 8 Gig, how long until that runs out again, two more months, six users later?

Look, no matter how much "lurking" around I was doing (and boy do I feel like an idiot now for doing it, but that's something I won't discuss here) I didn't rack up a bunch of bandwidth, and I didn't do anything ths morning, as I was asleep until 12:30 PM. So it wasn't me, I swear.

If you're refering to someone else, I'm an idiot.

I can only imagine how you must feel... Really, the MC is huge, and for something like this to happen?

I would consider the possibility of a cracker, if I were you. We were recently visited by Pachuka, and the CuLT has something going on with it-- Cyan Helkaraxe and several others were IMed with "DIE CULT SCUM" on AIM a few days ago.

Cult? O_o I dunno. Pachuka may not be the cheeriest fellow, but I don't really think he has a grudge on the MC. We certainly don't have one on the Cult.

At least, I don't. o_o

And, although I'd pay my $1.58 if it really came to that, It strikes me as... er... a rediculously bad Idea.

Kulock always refused to accept donations because he doesn't want to feel like he "owes" someone, so I remember to have read back when people were talking about donating to EZboard CSC.

There might have been a bit more to it, but that's pretty much the base of it.

I didn't mean Pachuka necessarily-- remember, Kojichao said that some over there try to mimic Pachuka, and are often very far off, thus one may see the MC as something Pachuka hates, and attack it, thinking it's something Pachuka would do.
