I'm not sure how long this will last...
Probably not too long, but if you haven't heard:

I know my server was running SQL, but I don't think it was MSSQL. But if the name server that it uses was taken out...
Anyway, maybe the IP still works, I'll give that a shot now...

Can't even find the IP address, seems like the server itself is down, anyway, blah. By the time everyone switches over to this temp forum, the problem will probably be solved, though, so I'm not going to unlock it for now. Sorry, Joshi, I know you've been idling here. ;D

...? Unless you're on a constantly updating page, not closing the window will not make bandwidth shoot up. Same reason you can disconnect from the internet and never notice it until you leave the page.
You simply can't blame an event like this on an individual, unless they intentionally did it (DOS attacks, etc.). You simply can't say "Oh, SonKnuck's lurking ate up all the bandwidth".
