Guess who got a laptop
Yes, it is I, the one and only Avolin. I finally got a laptop to work with, so I can actually visit the Cavern once more. I am writing this here because...well...we all know what unfortunate incident has ocurred over at the main chapel.
Even though I didn't have access to the web for a good month or two, I still know what happened to Rare. It would figure M$ would snatch them up, but good luck squeezing a game out of them. It was agonizing the first few days, but I'm over it like many other Rare fanatics. (And no, I won't be buying an X Box just for Rare, that would be sheer foppishness.)
My main addiction right now is Animal Crossing. I bought it on the 17th, and I already have my statue plus $460 000 in the bank. What I really need is Regal furniture, i.e. Bed, Vanity, chair, dresser, etc. I already have the walls, flooring, table, and bookcase, so don't send those. If you DO in fact have any of that or perhaps some slightly less common NES games, I'll be willing to trade or work something out. My name is "_Ian" (damn space snuck in while I was creating my name), and my town is "Bosch". Thanks a lot, and I hope things will get back to normal for me here.

Yeah, Animal Crossing is great. Even somethingawful.com likes it! What NES games you got Avy? I have 6 out of the 8 starter ones.

I got all 8 common NES games with ease. All of the other NES games are too hard to come by, yet everyone is still bartering the old crappy ones.

Ah, nice to see you again, Avolin.
I don't know, I should probably give AC a try, but the thought of a "maintenance" game with no goal puts me off a bit. It'd remind me too much of Seaman. Visit two times a day, the tank temperature has dropped dramatically and they're half-freezing. Visit three times a day, and both the narrator (Leonard Nimoy (sp)) and the Seaman tell me I'm visiting too often. :P And then I ended up messing up their food supply (the spider wasn't doing enough, so I tried putting it in the tank, and it disappeared instead of letting me fish it out if the Seaman wasn't going to react), and just had to leave them to die.

And I'm having trouble getting all the crap I want. I only have 3 of the NES games, and I'm collecting exotic furniture at the moment. Avy, do you have any tips for collecting them? =D

Twice a week is enough, but the worst aspect is the the letter writing, which is necessary if you want to keep everyone in a good mood. The most villagers I have had in my village was 15, but that has dropped recently. I keep deleting the second town on my other memory card in order to harvest the deals other people are trading at PGC and IGN. It takes a bit, but it's worth it to get rare items. You can also enter the same password to get multiples of the same item, where you can sell the rest or keep it in your basement. It's a neat trick, but it takes a while to keep creating towns. My latest temp town has an island.

I'm working on AIM for tomorrow, for now I'm retiring and waiting for Totakeke.
I'm collecting Regal furniture. I barely have any, and that I want most is the bed, which you can only buy from Redd. I assume it will cost a good $10 000. Here's my NES list:

I still have to get all 120 shines, but I really enjoyed Mario. Too bad there wasn't any forest, snow, or desert levels. I only played ED for a week at a friend's house, so I can't really give much opinion on that. From what I played it was great.
So Ed, did your passwords work?

I rented SSBM for a week or so. It's good, but unlocking all the characters and levels doesn't sound too fun.
