Google Browser Buttons for Netscape 6

Create Google Buttons

  1. Select the 'Manage Bookmarks' option under your browser's 'Bookmarks' menu. Find the 'Personal Toolbar Folder' at the top.

  2. Place your mouse pointer on any of the text links below and drag the link to your 'Personal Toolbar Folder'. (You may have to re-position the browser and bookmarks windows to view both.)

  3. To rename the button, highlight the current name within the 'Personal Toolbar Folder', select the 'Properties' option under the 'Edit' menu, and type in a new name.
GoogleSearch
Performs search on any highlighted text or just click button to prompt pop-up search box.
Google.com
One click takes you directly to Google's homepage.

Try the Buttons

Google Search

  • Use your mouse to highlight this phrase: Stanford University.
  • Click the Google Search button to do a Google web search for the highlighted phrase.

    Highlight Text    Click Button    View Results
  • OR... simply click the button to prompt a pop-up Google search box.

Google.com

  • Simply click the Google.com button to quickly go to the Google homepage located at www.google.com.

NOTES: The Google Browser Buttons have been tested on recent versions of Mozilla.
