Billing Application Engineer

This position is located in Mountain View, CA.

Google is searching for an outstanding Java developer who will play an important role in the continued development and support of our billing applications. This opportunity requires 2 to 3 years of experience doing Java programming, preferably for billing or financial applications. This person should also have experience in doing software development and operations in a highly available and secure environment. A successful applicant will also have demonstrated experience in operating within a structured team environment which includes disciplines such as configuration management, release management, quality assurance, and bug tracking/reporting.

Experience and Attributes Desired:

A minimum of a BS/MS in Computer Science or 3-5 years of relevant programming experience.
2-3 years Java development experience.
Experience in billing and financial system architecture and operations.
1-2 years experience in Java database applications (MySQL database experience is ideal, but other major databases such as Oracle is also acceptable), including database modeling.
Experience in scripting in a major scripting language such as perl or python. Python is desirable.
Experience in integrating with 3rd party software packages.
Strong knowledge and experience in high availability architectures.
Past experience in a large-scale, custom-developed, e-commerce environment with high availability and 24x7 operations.
A track record of "getting things done" and ability to make pragmatic compromises to make progress.

Billing Application Support Engineer

This position is located in Mountain View, CA.

Google is searching for an outstanding software engineer who will play an important role in the ongoing maintenance and support of our billing applications. This opportunity requires 3+ years of experience supporting large scale enterprise applications, preferably billing or financial applications. This person should also have experience in troubleshooting complex production issues, production support for large volume transaction processing systems, development of continuous process improvements and doing software development in a highly available and secure environment. A successful applicant will also have demonstrated experience in operating within a structured team environment which includes disciplines such as bug tracking/reporting, production support, configuration and release management and quality assurance. This position will be in our Mountain View office.

Oracle DBA (Business Intelligence Apps)

This position is located in Mountain View, CA.

Google is looking for an outstanding Oracle DBA who will play a major role in the development of business intelligence applications. This is a unique opportunity, in that we are in the early stages of forming a team. The person hired into this role will wear many hats: database architect, capacity planner, backup and recovery architecture designer, performance tuner, and of course database administrator responsible for production and operational support.

Experience and attributes desired:

BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
Oracle DBA certification.
Minimum of 4+ years experience as an Oracle DBA in similar positions, including experience working with version 9.2.0.5 or later.
Senior level Oracle database administration and architecture experience working with large-scale datawarehousing applications.
Require experience working with terabyte scale datawarehouses.
Extensive experience with Unix and/or Linux system administration.

Sales Finance Java Engineer

Position located in New York, NY.

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join Google's sales finance team to build world-class systems that will support the information needs of a wide range of business users throughout the company. You will be responsible for designing, building and supporting systems and tools to streamline business processes, automate tasks, provide real-time access to critical data within the company, and maximally leverage the productivity of Googlers worldwide. Workflow Application Engineer

This position is located in Mountain View, CA.

We are hiring engineers to develop workflow/business-process applications for both internal and external use. We are looking for well-rounded developers who know how to create robust business applications using commercial workflow product. In this role, the person will be responsible for analyzing requirements, producing functional and design specification, implementing and delivering workflow applications, as well as defining workflow ads and tools.

Experience and attributes desired:

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
4+ years of solid software development experience with full software life cycle development.
A strong understanding of business workflow/automation concepts with specific experience developing applications using Remedy Action Request System.
Proficiency in Java and/or C++.
Proven record of designing and delivering workflow applications through multiple development cycles.
