Subject: Japanese SA Commercial (Knuckles) |
Video in Question: Cf1_knuc.mpg (Size: 2.6 Meg)
Actually, not much with this video (I had another screenshot, but I eliminated it when I realized it was in the final). I just thought I'd post this picture of Knuckles, found only in the intro, and for good reason. Look how his teeth are drawn! O_o (they don't look like during any other part of the game, I think). It just makes him look... evil. ^.^ *thunderclap*
(*slap* I did miss something...)
About four seconds into the video, you see Knuckles walking around in the area in "Lost World" Sonic sees with the huge wall decoration talking of Chaos. Knuckles isn't supposed to go into this room. (He can, thanks to the magic of glitching, but he's not supposed to.) This was minor when the only thing I had to go on was two rentals (to be honest, I thought the cinema was just optional for Knuckles and I had accidentally skipped it. -.-; ), but now after many people have explored the domestic release, this is a little obvious. This one is partially thanks to someone else, I found it while looking for the similar screenshot found in the "Sega of America" video.)

Subject: Japanese SA Commercial (Amy) |
Video in Question: Cf1_amy.mpg (Size: 2.6 Meg)
Early on in Amy's video, this scene is shown, right before the "closeups" shot. In that order, the scene looks fine, but when you actually look at it... what is it? The poster is a decoration found in Speed Highway (a very odd one which will be in a future Curiousity), and the textures seem a little reminiscant of Speed Highway Downtown, but the door and actual layout of the area seems very similar to a mix of the "Casino" and "Near Mansion" areas of Station Square. O_o
Same sequence as in the Lunar-net video (see Curiousity #01), just clearer, but smaller.

Subject: Japanese SA Commercial (Big) |
Video in Question: Cf1_big.mpg (Size: 2.6 Meg)
Okay, cheap shot (again ;>). A crystal-clear sequence of Big blatantly strutting through Windy Valley. Makes you wonder why they cut it.
(Second and third one, but not worth a screenshot, probably. In the video, two odd Icecap things happen: Big attacks an enemy (Are they even in Big's version of Icecap? I don't think so...) and just bounces off... the other thing is Big does his victory dance nowhere near water (but that was often done for promotional videos for SA). The area he's in looks SLIGHTLY unfamiliar (possibly altered from the final), but if there is a difference at all, it's slight.)

Subject: Japanese SA Commercial (E-102 Gamma) |
Video in Question: Cf1_e102.mpg (Size: 2.6 Meg)
Okay, it's blatant in the game they're cut from the same mold (that's the idea, E-102 is a new series of bot), but they are distinguishable as different in the final version. In this one, they all look exactly the same (from what we can see, probably only their numbers were changed in that version.)
E-102 Gamma glides down into and walks through an unrecognizable section of Windy Valley.
This one you have to see in action to understand. E-102 Gamma presses down on the button, but instead of it sinking down, his hands go through it. X.X (It works like it's supposed to in the final version).
This shot does exist in the final rev of Sonic Adventure during a cinema, however, not at the length shown here.

Subject: Japanese SA Commercial (Eggman) |
Video in Question: Cf1_egg.mpg (Size: 2.6 Meg)
Actually, upon examination, this shot exists in the game intro, but it appears for only a few frames, it's during one of the "flashing" scenes. Why underuse some of the better shots?
Because Eggman's video was mostly cinemas, there's little "beta" stuff to pick out. ^_^
