MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- June 17, 2002 -- Google Inc., today announced that leading aerospace, technology, broadcasting, retail and educational institutions have adopted the Google Search Appliance to enable employees and customers to find products and information within corporate intranets and websites. "The Google Search Appliance delivers high-quality search results and enables our employees to quickly find the information they need to make better decisions," said Bill Corley, manager of Intranet Technology at National Semiconductor. Our employees love Google because it helps them be more productive."
The Google Search Appliance is an integrated hardware/software solution that extends the power of Google.com to corporate intranets and web servers. Below are examples of how National Semiconductor and others have quickly deployed the Google Search Appliance.

- The University of Florida purchased the Google Search Appliance to power search services for its website, enabling students, faculty, staff and others to quickly find course curricula, research and other school information.
- Sur La Table, a premier store, mail order and e-commerce kitchenware company offering top quality cookware and hard-to-find kitchen tools, deployed the Google Search Appliance on its website to help customers search Sur La Tables wide array of products and make informed purchasing decisions.
